Does your pet need CBD?
CBD pet treats can be used for various conditions and ailments. Some of the most common conditions that Happy Biscuits CBD treas have beneficial effects on include:
Anxiety, including separation anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Giving CBD to pets struggling with anxiety and other mood and stress disorders are effective because cannabidiol can raise levels of anandamide in the brain, deficiencies of which cause anxiety, depression and stressful states. CBD balances anandamide levels, improving pets’ mental and behavioural health.
ADHD CBD has a proven ability to modulate the neurotransmitter GABA, whose malfunction contributes to hyperactivity in dogs. Furthermore, CBD also regulates serotonin levels in the body, which, like the neurotransmitter GABA, plays a vital role in treating ADHD in animals.
Osteoarthritis According to a study at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas, CBD given to animals has been shown to reduce the pain associated with osteoarthritis. Cannabidiol also has a positive effect on improving the mobility of dogs with this disease.
EpilepsyA recent study published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association shows that the effects of CBD in alleviating the course and frequency of epileptic seizures are promising. Approximately 90% of dogs receiving CBD during the study showed reduced seizure activity.
Appetite disordersEating problems in animals can be caused by various factors. The lack of appetite often results from co-existing conditions such as stress, anxiety, pain, etc. CBD has a therapeutic effect on all of these conditions.
Inflammatory conditionsDuring a study on the effects of CBD on the inflammatory response, CBD was shown to have anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties directly in canine immune cells. The results of the study show that CBD was able to reduce the inflammatory response induced by LPS. Specifically, it was discovered that CBD modulated the production of LPS-stimulated cytokines, thereby reducing the inflammatory response.
Dermatological problems including canine atopic dermatitis (CAD) A 2022 study showed that CBD, used as a supplement in combination with other medications, was well tolerated over a wide dose range and reduced itching in dogs with CAD when taken twice daily.
CancerIn a study conducted by Cornell University on the relationship between CBD use and cancer in dogs, researchers found that CBD and standard chemotherapeutic drugs reduced cancer cell proliferation in vitro more than chemotherapeutic drugs alone.

Effects of CBD and CBDa on dogs with atopic dermatitis - May 2022
This study aimed to determine whether CBD/CBDA is an effective treatment for atopic dermatitis in dogs. Thirty-two dogs with treatment-resistant atopic dermatitis were registered with the Animal Dermatology and Allergy Service in the New York metropolitan area. After meeting the inclusion criteria, a prospective, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted. Dogs were randomly assigned to receive 2 mg/kg of an equal CBD/CBDA-rich mixture (n = 17) or placebo for four weeks. Concurrent therapies were allowed if they remained unchanged for four weeks. The results showed that 65% of the dogs in the study had a 50% or more reduction in itching, and 50% stopped itching completely.
